Pre-Order Your Turkey

 

We invite you to pre-order your local turkey this season by filling out the brief form below.

By pre-ordering your turkey, you ensure that you’ll get the turkey you want, when you want it.
When you pre-order a turkey, you’ll $5 off the cost.

PLEASE NOTE- all local turkeys are frozen. Be sure to allow enough time for thawing.

Join Trisha Brown Leweke, owner of Mother Bear Medicinals, for Solstice wisdom from the Wise Women Tradition. Learn about herbs and activities that support deep rest, dreaming, immunity, and the return of the sun.
This class is open to all people, young and old, who want to continue engaging in the world, and creating healthy communities. During this event the café will be closed to the public and we will set up our new partition wall at the entrance to provide privacy and encourage meaningful conversations.

SOLD OUT – Wreath Making Class with Sparrows Flowers

Get into the holiday spirit with our annual Wreath Making class taught by Amanda Tutwiler, owner of Sparrow’s Flowers, a local business. Join us on Monday, December 4th, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM for a creative evening filled with the delightful scent of fresh greens and holiday cheer.

No prior experience is necessary,  Amanda will guide you step by step in crafting your very own wreath. We’ll provide all the materials you need, including an array of fresh, fragrant greens. If you have any personal touches or ornaments you’d like to incorporate into your creation, feel free to bring them along.

Come together with friends and fellow community members for an enchanting evening of wreath-making, laughter, and holiday joy. Embrace your inner artist and take home a beautiful wreath that will adorn your door or make a cherished gift. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to kick off the holiday season in style. First Friday – Gravitational Waves by Delaney Westwood

Join us on Friday November 3rd for the First Friday opening of Gravitational Waves by Artist Delaney Westwood of Paradox Flow Art. Come check out an array of pieces and enjoy light refreshments and snacks in our café.

 

Artist Statement: Born & raised in the Shenandoah Valley, Delaney Westwood is a fluid acrylic artist and member at OASIS Fine Art & Craft in downtown Harrisonburg. She considers herself an “experimental” artist because of her deep reverence for the process and passion for exploring new techniques. It is her mission to create inspiring artwork that brings forth a sense of inner knowing akin to the healing transmission of the natural world.

Community Harvest Party

Join us for a fun-filled day at our Community Harvest Party!

Date: Saturday October 14th

Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Get ready for a community celebration that’s FREE for everyone! We’ve got an exciting lineup of activities and entertainment that will make this day truly special:

Local Music:

We’ll have two musical performances during the event, Rebecca Porter and (reggae dj/artist) Ronnie Brandon aka iRon Lion.

Local Dancing:

The Harrisonburg Dance Cooperative will be performing a few short dance numbers.

Fun Activities for all ages:

Bounce House

Pumpkin Decorating with locally grown pumpkins

Fall-themed games

Face painting

Bubble stations with Bubbles by the Burg

Friendly City Clay will be set up with an activity

Food Trucks:

Annual Owner Meeting & Farm-to-Table Brunch

 

All Co-op Owners are invited to our Local Farm to Table Brunch combined with our Annual Owner Meeting.

Owners, please join us on Saturday, October 14th at 11:00AM, on the co-op patio for this very special event.

11:00AM: Arrive and enjoy brunch – talk with other owners, current board members, and meet the 2024 Board candidates
11:15 AM: Hear the news about the year past, and the year ahead
12:00 PM: The Community Harvest Party starts! Enjoy music, games, food trucks and more in our parking lot until 4:00PM! The Harvest Party is open to everyone.

Seating will be limited, so it will be first come, first serve for the brunch. There is no cost for the brunch. All you need to do is RSVP on our website or in-store.

Most ingredients will be locally sourced and offerings are sure to be delicious!

Sunday Morning Mindfulness

Start your Sunday mornings with tranquility and self-care. Join us every Sunday in October for Sunday Morning Mindfulness with Cat Freeman. Cat will guide you through a meditation, equipping you with tools for a calm, mindful start to your day.

Each session features a soothing guided meditation by Cat and a gentle sound bath, promoting relaxation and emotional healing.
