We are making significant changes and improvements to our employee compensation. Paying all team members, who have worked at the co-op for one year, a living wage has been the goal since the co-op first opened its doors in 2011. As of January 1st, 2019, Friendly City Food Co-op is increasing the starting wage to $11.50/hr. for all new hires and current team members that are below that benchmark, with an increase to $12.00/hr. after successful completion of a 90 day trial period. I want to know more!

Front End Team Member (Cashier)
Part-time 18-30 hours/week. We are looking for someone with outstanding customer service skills as well as register & money handling accuracy & efficiency. Grocery Team Member 
Part-time 15-29 hours/week. We are looking for someone with outstanding customer service skills. Stocking, Receiving, Bulk, Heavy Lifting, Cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Deli Assistant Team Leader
Full-time 35-40 hours/week. We are looking for someone to create delicious food with local, sustainable ingredients. Responsibilities include departmental supervision according to Co-op policies. Knowledge and experience in recipe development; prepared foods handling; controlling labor and food costs; proven ability to achieve desired margins; develop team and individual team members; ability to lift 50-80 pounds, previous experience with ordering, pricing, scheduling and inventory control. Outstanding customer service skills. ServeSafe certification a plus. Evening/weekend flexibility required. Download the Team Member General Application or pick one up in the store.
