Co-op Learning: Essential Oils

Curious about what essential oils are about? Tried them but not sure how to use them effectively?   Learn the basics, the health benefits, and how they can help you transition to a chemical-free, plant-based life.

We will discuss the following:
~ what are essential oils
~ how to safely  apply essential oils
~tips and resources for how to use essential oils for various conditions and daily life
~much more!

 

You will have the opportunity to make your own essential oil blends for either allergies or owies/skin issues.  

Co-op Learning: Intro to Sign Language

This beginner’s introduction to sign language
includes basic conversation, the alphabet and
numbers. There will be fun ways to practice and get familiar with the ABC’s!

The class will be conducted by Friendly City Co-op team member Ciara Krysiewicz.

While we’ll be turning 6 on the 6th, we will be celebrating Saturday, June 10th, from 10am – 2pm with FREE brisket and tempeh sliders!

There will be gift bags for the first 50 people, face painting, live music and more.

Door Prizes include a cooler, kids gardening set and a full sized pull wagon.

Join us in the Co+mmunity Room to learn how to make egg dyes naturally using produce and herbs.

Learn tips and tricks for dyeing eggs with both cold and hot baths.

Each kid will be able to decorate an egg to take home in a cold bath solution (the longer you can leave it in the dye the more vibrant it will be!)

Cedar Stone will be here to cover basic massage strokes and techniques for couples to learn and use on each other.

This class is also useful for those who just want to learn a few techniques for basic massage.

We will cover several benefits on why massage is an important part of a healthy lifestyle and how massage can be a positive tool for comfort.
