Marilyn will discuss how to used the plants in the landscape and review the ways these plants are herbal, medicinal and edible. Native Plants that Attract Pollinators
/in /by Kari SouderCome learn with Karl Shank, (founder/owner of The Natural Garden since 1993 who loves to re-wild the world), as he talks about many of the beautiful native trees, shrubs, and perennials that attract pollinators. Karl will provide you with a list of the plants that bloom from April-November in succession so that you too can plant a continuous supply of food for pollinators. Pollinators need a continuous succession of food just like all creatures, and so Karl will review how to use these plants in the landscape. Karl will provide each attendee with a list of these plants and their growing preferences so you can confidently use these in your landscape.
Designing with Native Plants
/in /by Kari SouderCome learn with Agustina Hein, (lead designer at The Natural Garden and trained in landscape architecture), how to design lasting, low-maintenance, beautiful landscapes that also are affordable. For years The Natural Garden has been studying how to create landscapes that save both time and money while creating beautiful outdoor rooms to retreat into. Come learn how The Natural Garden creates spaces that work well by using native plants. Agustina will provide designs as examples and highlight many favorite plants and why she loves using these various plants. Each attendee will have plant lists to take home to use as a reference when they design their own landscape.

The Friendly City Food Co-op has the freshest produce, the best hot food bar and delicious local baked goods. The staff are amazing and I look forward to every visit! - Vada Kelley
Ownership means sustaining and growing what we have built. I’m proud to be a co-op owner.
– Christina von Rotz-Brunk
I love stopping by the co-op for lunch. Some days I mix-and-match the hot bar with the salad bar, other days I grab a Turkey Chipotle Wrap. Either way, it’s always great and I’m able to grab a fresh cup of organic coffee to go. – Mike Miriello
We were enthusiastic about the co-op from the beginning. The co-op sells local food, it is downtown, and there are a lot of healthy food options. I just love everything about the Friendly City Food Co-op. - Sherwyn, Owner for 5 years
