Co-op Learning: CBD Oils

Join us for an educational class with CV Sciences Educator, Brett Naylor, as he enlightens us about the history of hemp, the differences between CBD and THC, and the benefits of hemp-derived CBD products – including the support it gives your Endocannabinoid system.

Co-op Kids! Cooking @ Friendly City Food Co-op Community Room

Join us on the second Saturday of each month, February- October, for Co-op Kids Cooking! We’ll explore a different aspect each weekand make a meal at the end of the session in October.

For March, we’re making Banana Roll-Ups while we learn about USING KITCHEN TOOLS. There will also be a fun activity.

We’ll prepare a kid friendly recipe followed by a related activity or game. The focus will be on developing safe and smart kitchen techniques. Every kid will receive a laminated recipe, instructions or materials for the associated activity, as well as an apron badge showing what they learned that day. Aprons will be given out to each child at the first session they attend and your child will earn a badge for every class they attend.

Co-op Learning: Make Your Own Yarn @ Friendly City Food Co-op Community Room
Mar 9 @ 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm

Come learn the ancient art of Drop Spindling!

Participants will make a top whorl drop spindle (to keep) and prepared roving to learn the basics of creating a single ply yarn.

We’ll cover getting started, drafting, twist, how to join on more fiber, and how to finish the yarn so it can be used in your favorite craft.

As always, Owners receive a $5 discount. Sign up in-store or online.
