Why Plant Native Class?
Date: Saturday, April 13th

Want to learn about what plants are native to Harrisonburg & our surrounding area? Join us for the first class in the Native Plant Series with the Natural Garden! During this class you’ll get to know the natural world around you and familiarize yourself with native Virginia flora, their benefits to you and the environment, and native alternatives to invasive plants. Participants will get the chance to win a free habitat pack! (Habitat Packs include 15 native perennial quarts that thrive in a particular condition like Dry Sun, Dry Shade, or Wet Sun. We take the guesswork out of picking plants for your yard!)

Audience: Those interested in getting to know the plants around them more intimately.

Topics Covered:
-All about The Natural Garden
-The benefits of using native plants
-Inviting nature into your home and yard
-The cultural needs of native plants
-Plant identification and alternatives to invasive plants

Cost:$10/$5 for Owners
