Meet Tara!
We’re excited to introduce Tara Dolan, one of the newest members of the Friendly City Food Co-op Board of Directors! Tara joined the board six months ago and has already brought fresh perspectives and a strong commitment to advancing our mission. Her enthusiasm and thoughtful contributions have made her an integral part of the co-op’s leadership.
We wanted to learn more about what drives Tara’s passion for the co-op and the community, so we asked her a few questions about her experiences and what motivates her work with the board. Keep reading to hear more about her story and her vision for the future of the co-op!

How are You Celebrating the Season?
Enjoying the beautiful weather by taking long walks with my dog, Pamela! I am trying to spend plenty of time admiring all the different blooms in season and getting all our seedlings ready for planting. My spouse and I are embarking on a native landscaping journey at our new home, so our thoughts are very consumed with establishing new roots and fresh starts, just like Spring!
What’s a Co-op Item You Can’t Live Without?
So Good Watermelon Popsicles. They are perfect when you’re done gardening, moving, walking, hiking, really anytime! They are refreshing and the perfect amount of sweet, just like eating a fresh slice of watermelon.
Describe the Co-op in Three Words?
Caring. Community-focused. Dedicated.
