Try whipping up a batch of these herbed goat cheese bites. They come together in a flash and are full of flavorful herbs and rich, flaky pastry dough, filled with a creamy goat cheese center. They’re sure to impress your guests and be the star of any tablescape.
Ingredients:
1 sheet of puff pastry dough, thawed
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon butter
4 eggs
1 log of chevre goat cheese
½ cup milk
3 tablespoons parsley
2 tablespoons chives
1 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to the temperature on the baking instructions for your puff pastry.
Grease 2 muffin tins lightly with butter.
Cut your puff pastry sheet into 12 squares of equal size.
Put the puff pastry squares into the muffin tin, pressing the bottoms down lightly into the bottom of the tin. Set aside.
Mince your garlic and set it aside.
Cut your chevre log into 12 pieces and set a piece into each mini quiche shell.
If you’re using fresh herbs for this recipe, now is the time to prepare them and chop your larger herbs, like chives and parsley.
Crack your eggs to a large mixing bowl with a spout. Beat the eggs until well combined.
Add your herbs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic to the egg. Mix until well combined.
Pour the egg mixture into your prepared muffin tins, covering the chevre.
Bake for 20 minutes or until set.
Allow them to cool for 10 minutes or so before serving and enjoy.
