Come Out for First Friday!
Join us on Friday, October 2nd, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM for the opening of Absence Animo, an exhibition by artist & co-op team member Jeff Minnich.
Artist Statement
Absence Animo is latin for “the absent or wandering mind” which is fitting because the artist struggles with distraction. Much of the work in this show was derived from “doodles” small images drawn absent-mindedly while on the phone, watching television, or while writing Hot Bar menus for the co-op! All of these images were spontaneously generated while the artist was preoccupied with something other than art, which is ironic. If there’s a better way to tap into the creative muse, this artist is blissfully unaware of it.
