Join us:
– For a special presentation Food Moments: Musings from the Shenandoah Valley by Pat Augsburger and Phyllis Ressler featuring three local food producers who will share their stories and experiences of producing food here in the Shenandoah Valley:
Tom Brenneman of Hickory Hill Farms — A longtime Co-op member and supplier, Tom will share the story of losing 80% of his blueberry crop this spring and the challenges that come with farming in the valley.
Nico of Mill Song Bakery — Nico will talk about growing wheat here in the valley and milling his own grain. MillSong is a longtime Co-op supplier and is also featured in the Food Moments exhibition.
Rose Shenk of Home Again Farm — A Co-op supplier of poultry and goat products, Rose will share her perspective on poultry production in the valley. Her story connects with the poultry-focused artwork and story featured in the Food Moments exhibition.
– Enjoy a delicious dessert bar featuring a selection of sweet treats from local bakeries and our Deli!
– Learn about the Co-op’s accomplishments from the last fiscal year, meet this year’s board candidates, and cast your vote in the board election.
