DESCRIPTION:Join Us for an In-Store Egg Hunt!\nCelebrate the Spring season with us on Friday\, April 3rd from 3–7 PM with a fun Egg Hunt throughout the store. All ages are welcome to participate and each participant will receive an egg carton to hunt for six colorful eggs hidden around the co-op. When you fill your carton\, you’ll receive a special prize! \nWhile you’re hunting for eggs\, be sure to stop by the café to check out our First Friday art display. The First Friday art opening will be from 5-7PM and refreshments will be available in the café during that time. \nThis is a free event\, bring your family and friends and join us for an afternoon of fun\, prizes\, and community! \n

SUMMARY:First Friday - The Art in Death by Skye Raine
DESCRIPTION:Come Out for First Friday!\nJoin us on Friday\, April 3rd\, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM for the opening of The Art in Death\, a bone\, metal\, glass wall exhibition by Skye Raine. \nArtist Statement\nSkye Raine is a 27 year old Waynesboro local. Skye is passionate about mutual aid\, giving support mentally & emotionally\, while also offering resources to local communities. Her favorite things are nature\, crafts\, and helping others. The Art in Death showcases the beauty in what once was. This exhibit is to show what Skye has seen and heard from local community members and/or experienced herself over the years. Bones while being one of the strongest materials are easily discarded without any thought. The memories they hold are something indescribable to the human experience. Bones while strong can also be broken. Metal shows the need to try to mend something that cannot be fixed on its own anymore. Spikes represent protection when something or someone no longer feels safe. Combining all of the trauma over the years you can only handle but so much. Showcasing different stages\, diseases\, and issues. Whether it is death or life Skye is there to accept it with open arms.*The bones in this exhibit are ethically sourced\, found hiking in Augusta/Nelson County* \nStop by the café on Friday evening to meet the artist\, view the artwork\, and enjoy light refreshments from the store!\n
